ASYCUDA Training

Submission of manifest

At present the Customs and Excise Division is conducting training for the Asycuda++ Automated System. Training will be ongoing and shippers, carriers, couriers and freight fowarders are currently being trained on various aspects of the new automated system. The training is being conducted by senior Customs Officers who are all well equipped to handle questions and concerns that no doubt will be raised during the course.

This training module is designed to introduce new users to the operation of the ASYCUDA++ Customs Computer System. The aim of this module is to -

• Explain the screen layout, and the use of keyboard or mouse in moving around the screen
• Explain the menu system and teach new users how to select menu options
• Explain the operation of ASYCUDA++ windows and how to work information in a window.

The module may be used as a workbook to accompany classroom training, or for individual training as a self-paced learning package under the guidance of an ASYCUDA++ training officer or supervisor.

ASYCUDA++ is an international system but many aspects of the system, including types of fields and screen access to reference data, are configured in-country, adapting the system to suit national needs.
